The Mohican Room
When students enter the Mohican Room, they are surrounded by replicas of Native American tools, clothing, rattles, containers, furs, skins, games and more. A model of a long-house interior transforms one wall of the room. Along another wall, a dugout canoe rests beneath a mural depicting activities such as farming, fishing, smoking meat, and playing lacrosse.

During all educational programs in the Mohican Room, students are given time to explore the room and try different activities like pounding corn, using a Native American drill, trying on clothing, working with clay, identifying animal pelts, and more.
The Mohican Room is open only to groups participating in Museum Educator-Led Programs and during selected special events.
