The Berkshire Museum's engaging permanent exhibit galleries illustrate its diverse collection representing the arts, natural sciences and history. Zenas Crane, who founded the Museum in 1903, created the collection to provide the best educational experience for the citizens of the Berkshires, modeling his efforts on institutions such as the Smithsonian, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the American Museum of Natural History. Today, the Berkshire Museum continues to enrich, educate and inspire its visitors and supporters with its interactive and interpretive exhibits.
