The Berkshire Museum is located in downtown Pittsfield, Massachusetts, in the heart of Berkshire County. The historic building, built in 1903, features 13 galleries, an aquarium, a 260-seat air conditioned and fully equipped theater, and classroom. Upper-level and corporate museum
members are given the privilege of using selected galleries and spaces for special events.

Crane Room
An elegant room filled with natural light, featuring a working fountain and art deco style decoration.
The Theater
A 260-seat fully equipped, air conditioned theater with 35-mm film projection capability. Two Alexander Calder sculptures (his first commissioned work) adorn the stage, making this a very special auditorium space.
Classroom
Located on the first floor, this room is a great place for hands-on workshops and classes. Tables, workbenches, chalkboards and other supplies are available for use.

Have your next function among the animals of Berkshire County in these spacious galleries located on the first floor-a truly unique experience!
Birthday Parties
Looking for a unique location for your child’s next birthday party? The Berkshire Museum is an affordable, entertaining, and educational environment for family fun. Birthday parties include use of the Berkshire Museum for two hours, a private, educator-led program in the galleries, and party supplies and decorations. Choose an aquarium theme, with a live animal demonstration, or dinosaur theme with real fossils and “dino dig.” A celebration for twelve children and six adults is just $200 for members ($235 for non-members).
