Education Program Manager
Berkshire Museum seeks a dynamic educator to take a leadership role in shaping our school and teacher programs. The Education Program Manager implements educational programs for (K-12) students and teachers that interpret the museum’s natural history, fine arts and special exhibitions. Qualifications: Creative person who has a professional manner and excellent interpersonal skills. Required, three years of education experience, preferably in a museum setting. Min. BA required. Programming and Special Events Internship
The Berkshire Museum has a diverse art, history and natural science collection of approximately 30,000 objects. Supplementing the exhibitions, the museum offers a wide array of public programs including a seasonal independent film, theatrical family and adult performances, gallery and outreach programs, and special events. The intern’s primary responsibility will be to assist in the day-to-day operations of the performances and special events. This includes logistical support for the performers/ performances, introductions, administrating patron surveys, and marketing support.

This is a part time internship with a minimal of 15 hours a week required. Flexible scheduling is possible; some weekend and evening work is required.

Own transportation a plus. This is an unpaid internship.

Interns will report directly to the Public Program Coordinator Qualifications: Demonstrated interest/knowledge in programming and/or event planning. Strong verbal and written communication skills and an enjoyment of working with a diverse public audience.

Marketing/ Graphic Design Internship
The Berkshire Museum has a diverse art, history and natural science collection. Supplementing the exhibitions, the museum offers a wide array of public programs including a seasonal independent film series, theatrical family and adult performances, gallery and outreach programs. The intern’s primary responsibility will be to assist in the design and marketing of the Museum’s independent film, and theatrical performances. This is a part-time internship with a minimal of 15 hours a week required. Flexible scheduling is possible. Own transportation a plus.

This is an unpaid internship.

Interns will report directly to the Public Program Coordinator Qualifications: Demonstrated interest/knowledge in marketing and graphic design. Proficient with computers and software bundle Adobe Creative Suite CS3 or CS4 a must. Applicants must have strong writing skills, and have the ability to implement verbal directions into physical designs and marketing strategies.

Development Coordinator
The Development Coordinator is responsible for developing, administering and overseeing the membership program; maintaining the Raisers’ Edge database on members and prospects; assist with development initiatives, cultivation events and events. Assist with overall advancement of Berkshire Museum through strategies, implementation, and follow-up to meet annual goals. Also provide back-up support to the Administrative Assistant for Patrons’ Edge, Raisers’ Edge, and Peachtree Accounting Software.
