Director of Finance and Administration
The Director of Finance and Administration is responsible for the management of all financial and administrative operations of the Berkshire Museum, including financial planning, accounting, cash management, budgeting, reporting, information services, front office administration, building maintenance, security, and retail operations. This position also serves as Director of Human Resources. This position is a member of the Berkshire Museum’s Strategic Team. Qualifications
• MBA designation with major coursework in accounting, financial management, and human resources, desired
• Knowledge of computerized accounting and financial software.
• Five plus years of senior level management.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Prior supervisory experience.
• General understanding of building management and information technology.

Development Internship (Unpaid)
INTERNSHIP AT BERKSHIRE MUSEUM
DEVELOPMENT
We invite you to become part of the dynamic team revitalizing the Berkshire Museum for the twenty-first century. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who can work with the Director of Development for the Berkshire Museum on database maintenance, development research, special event coordination, and communication projects.
¨ Learn about aspects of museum operations.
¨ Work on a meaningful project under the guidance of an experienced professional.
¨ Develop mentor relationships with museum professionals who can advise and support.
¨ Work with a small staff and be exposed to aspects of museum operations.
Responsibilities may include assisting with the coordination of special events, working with production schedules and vendors, research on individuals and companies, entering factual information into the RE database, communicating with potential special events participants. Coordinating special events, data integrity, fact checking, connecting with the community, working with special event committees, will be the focus of this internship. This is an opportunity to enhance project coordination skills and see how non-profits secure contributed funds to support the mission of an organization. Put your skills to work and build new ones on this exciting internship.
Interns should have good organizational skills, and excellent computer/word processing knowledge. Have good problem solving skills, be intuitive, able to work independently as well as with a team. Strong attention to details required.
This is an unpaid internship.
